AI review
AI is only a second pair of eyes. It can miss ticks and can be confused by curls, lint, seams, shadows, and rug patterns.
How to run a careful check
- Start with the natural view so you understand the real scene.
- Use Black on Yellow for dark specks on lighter fur.
- Use Blue on Yellow when you need separation between dark debris and fur.
- Use Inverted Grey for pale backgrounds and bedding.
- Use Edge Detect only as an outline aid; it can exaggerate texture.
- If the grid suggests a possible issue, open one filter fullscreen and inspect manually before trusting the result.
Safety note
TickLens is a visual inspection aid and is not medical or veterinary advice. If you find a tick, remove it safely with appropriate tools. If your pet has irritation, swelling, lethargy, fever, appetite changes, or anything else worrying you, contact your vet.
Help improve the model
False positives and false negatives are valuable training examples. For now, please contact support before sending images. We are preparing a consent-based contribution flow so labelled examples can be stored and reviewed separately from ordinary scan history.
